Evesham Historical Society - In preserving some of the history of Evesham, the Evesham Historical Society continues to maintain the 1772 Inskeep House, privy, an old relocated butcher shop and herb garden. The house is furnished as a museum of local history, including a display of Native American artifacts. Volunteers are welcome to assist with special events, maintenance of the home, marketing, computer assistance, research and grant writing. Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region located in Cherry Hill, is a social service program for children in Burlington County, who have shown a need for positive development through the help of qualified, interested adults to improve relationships and performance at home, school, and in the community. BB/BS needs volunteers, including seniors, to serve as adult role models, friends, and mentors. Volunteers are also needed in the office, to assist with educational activities, and/or special events. AARP Tax Counselors and Client Facilitators Program - AARP has a program in Burlington County especially for Seniors so that other low and moderate income persons will be able to have their 2019 taxes done for free by certified Tax Counselors. We are looking for volunteer Tax Counselors and Client Facilitators. Training is provided. There are ten sites located around the County. The sites will be open from February 1st until April 15th. Information on the location of the sites can be found on the AARP home page site, the Office On Aging, and most county libraries and local newspapers. Acenda Integrated Health is looking for college-age and adult volunteers to become mentors for Camden, Gloucester County foster care youth, ages 14-21, at-risk of dropping out of school. All the youth have experienced some form of abuse or neglect, lack reliable transportation, and supportive family relationships. They are in need of a positive role model and support. Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate assists sexual assault victims in our Sexual Assault Services Program. A volunteer must be 18 and a high school graduate at time of application. Advocates receive training specific to sexual assault issues. An advocate learns how to provide supportive phone counseling and may accompany sexual assault victims at hospitals, police stations or court. Bilingual volunteers are desperately needed!

The Burlington Vicinage is seeking adult and youth volunteers for two Superior Court programs.
Adult and youth volunteers are needed as Juvenile Conference Committee (JCC) board members, court-appointed citizens who hear and decide matters involving alleged juvenile offenders. They make recommendations to a family court judge for a resolution that would aid in the juvenile's rehabilitation.
Youth volunteers could be eligible for community service credit hours based upon approval from their high school.
Adults are needed as courthouse information specialists to greet and direct litigants, attorneys and visitors to their destinations. They also answer questions and provide assistance in person or by phone.
Prospective adult volunteers for both programs must undergo a screening process, which includes a written application, interview, fingerprinting and a criminal background check. Mandatory training provided by the Burlington Vicinage must be completed prior to volunteer service.
Prospective youth volunteers, who must be between the ages of 14 and 17, are subject to a juvenile record check. Parental consent is required for all youth volunteers. Mandatory training provided by the Burlington Vicinage must be completed prior to volunteer service.
