Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter (FOBCAS) Needs Volunteers

Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter (FOBCAS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2010 as the volunteer program for Burlington County's only animal shelter. Since our founding we have grown bigger and better every year, and we're always looking for new ways to improve the lives of our shelter animals and the county's pets at large.

American Red Cross- New Jersey Region

American Red Cross - New Jersey Region –– Volunteers are needed to help in Disaster Assistance and Blood Services. Volunteers in Disaster Assistance are trained and able to respond to local Disasters, assist in Shelters, and provide mental health assistance.  Blood Services volunteers assist with Registration and Refreshments at Blood Drives or/and to help transport blood for processing. Virtual administrative opportunities in multiple departments are also available.

VOLUNTEER CHAPLAIN AIDES Needed at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly

VOLUNTEER CHAPLAIN AIDES are needed at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. There are openings for trained lay visitors every day of the week. Following a training and orientation process, an Aide may donate two to four hours each week to visit patients, offering them friendship and spiritual comfort.  Aids will need a letter of endorsement from their pastor.  

The 18-hour Training Course will be offered at the Virtua Center for Learning, 1200 Howard Blvd., Mt. Laurel, on Thu Oct 30 and Fri Oct 31. 

Shipman Mansion Foundation

Shipman Mansion Foundation - Non-profit focused on preservation of an 1869 home on the banks of the Delaware River in Edgewater Park is looking for someone with knowledge of QuickBooks and non-profit accounting to help them set up their books and records. The Shipman Mansion Foundation recently received a $12,000 grant from the 1772 Foundation and a financial system has to be set up to track the grant, expenses and donations. Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital seeks volunteers 16 years or older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories provide TLC and socializing with patients.  Volunteers commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, for a minimum of 3 months.  We also seek assistance with clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!

Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities

Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities provides services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children in Burlington County.  The program is currently in need of volunteers to assist with donation solicitation and donation management. Activities may include soliciting items from local businesses for our annual major fundraiser, sorting Thanksgiving meal and Holiday donations as well as assistance with Community Affairs. We also have opportunities for volunteers to work with Domestic Violence Response Teams.
