Bayshore Center at Bivalve, operator of NJ's Tall Ship A.J. Meerwald, has year-round volunteer opportunities at its Bayshore Center in Bivalve NJ (southern Cumberland County). Volunteers help in the museum, cafe and gift shop, at festivals and special events, and assist with publicity, maintenance, fund-raising and more. Volunteers are also needed to help sail or teach on board the schooner A.J. Meerwald from April through October. Burlington County Library System, the oldest county library in New Jersey, has a limited number of volunteer positions for adults (18+ who are not college students) for shelf-reading, newspaper indexing, and other small tasks. These positions are at the Main Library on Pioneer Boulevard in Westampton or branches in Bordentown, Cinnaminson, Evesham, Maple Shade, Medford, Pemberton, and Riverton.
